இந்திய மகளிர் கிரிக்கெட் அணி நேற்றைய தினம் (நவம்பர் 2) 13வது ஐசிசி மகளிர் கிரிக்கெட் உலகக் கோப்பையை வென்று சாதனை படைத்துள்ளது. நம் பெண்களின் வெற்றிக்கு நாடு முழுவதுமிருந்து உணர்வுப்பூர்வமான வாழ்த்துகள் குவிந்து வருகின்றனர்.
5 தசாப்த மகளிர் உலகக் கோப்பை வரலாற்றில் சிலமுறை கோப்பைக்கு மிக அருகில் சென்றும் வெற்றியைத் தவறவிட்ட இந்திய அணிக்கு நேற்றைய வெற்றி வரலாற்று வெற்றியாகும்.
1983ம் ஆண்டு இந்திய கிரிக்கெட் அணி முதன் முதலாக உலகக் கோப்பை வென்றது நாடு முழுவதும் இளைஞர்கள் நம்பிக்கையோடு கிரிக்கெட் மட்டையை ஏந்த செய்ததைப் போன்று இந்த உலகக் கோப்பை இந்திய பெண்களுக்கு உத்வேகமாக இருக்கும் என பிரபலங்கள் நம்பிக்கை தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.
